Fun Winston's show

So there wasn't much of a turnout last night. One of the promoters I put on I imagine brought no one, and I gace him 3 minutes. He was shocked I lit him early but he wasn't doing that great and brought 0 people. I can understand the struggles of promoting, but I saw him outside another comedy spot taking down names and emails for a show he's doing later this month. So if you're not funny, nor bring anyone, sorry you're time will be shortened. The other promoter brought a few people, but it was his first time at Winston's and needs a little work.

The headliners both kinda lagged on promoting, so it was a smallish crowd. I think were gonna get lagging crowds through the next month until I recruit a new wave of comics. I've pretty much used all the headline worthly comics and gave everyone a chance to promote. There's so many shows it's tough to have people focus on promoting ours.

I put my buddy up as the first headliner, but he gave me a guilt trip. He said later he was kidding but I'm not sure he was. I think he would have done better first as the lady that headlined has a lot of energy, and her jokes arre polished as she's been doing them a long time. We tried to play his video after but experienced a little technical difficulties which was kinda poopy.

A dude showed up and thought he was on the regular list while he was actually on the lightning round. He goes "well I wouldn't have come if I wasn't on the show." Not sure what would be the point of saying that. Anyways, my set went pretty good. I was trying a lot of new jokes, and I think a lot of them went well. I was happy wih my timing and flow. Had a few people tell me I was funny after, so that's a plus. We hung out with a bunch of comics after and that was a lot of fun. There were dogs there. I think I'm the same way with dogs as some people are with kids. I like hanging out with dogs but dont think I'd wanna deal with them on a day to day basis.
