Not much to report
Winston's Wednesday was pretty busy, but sadly most of the people came with free tickets so I made no money. I did go up before the contest and worked on some new jokes. One worked really well and I had a few comedians tell me after it was funny. There were 3 no shows, but I had one guy jump in. So we had a total of 6 which makes for a decent show.
Friday was Winston's. There was a good amount of people in the crowd but they got there early so they were somewhat tired when I got up. I tried some of the stuff I did Wednesday, but it was meh. I ended strong with an older joke and that was good. There was a dude that brought 10 or so people but got way too drunk and just got up there and killed the momentum of the show. His friend's were shocked and didn't have a clue how to react after that point. One of the headliners did pretty well, but he had a handful or so people there for him. I made a few bucks so I can't complain.
Saturday was the Store. The headliner was the co creator of the Chappelle show. He was pretty funny, and seemed pretty grounded and down to earth. Thanked everyone and seemed genuine. He opened with a joke about having $43 in his checking which kinda bothered me as it was pretty obvious, unless he made some of the worst money decisions in the world, he should have a good amount of money. Anyways, the line up was a lot different that what usually plays on the weekends. Younger and a lot edgier. I thought the feature was in my opinion the funniest I'd seen there since I started working there. Just really enjoyed his style and delivery.
Haven't heard back from any of the agents. Today I sent out a video to try to be a made coach with MTV. Doubtful anything will happen but I am happy with the clean video I made and might as well send it out.
