Bunch of crappity crap
Thursday was working/ performing at the Store. There was a pretty big crowd, nearly 150. I went up second and started off a little choppy, but was able to recover with the 2nd joke and got a pretty decent clean video. It was short, around 5 minutes, but I was happy with it. I sent it to the agent guy the next day, and still haven't heard back. Oh well.
Friday was pretty slow at Winston's. There was maybe 10 or so audience members. Which consisted of 3 middle aged women in the front row that didn't care much for the show. They enjoyed my banter between comics but didn't like the set up jokes. I had Jesse playing tv theme songs between comics, and I think that made the show a little more enjoyable.
Saturday was working at the Store. The shows were pretty slow. The comics were really nice, and one of them was really funny. I actually gave him a call back. Not sure he will ever use it, but he did seem happy that I gave it to him. Still didn't open a show, but was told the 2 managers think I'm funny enough, but I need to be working there longer. So dumb.
Sunday was back to the Store to work and perform. Very small crowd, 20 or so people. I went up 2nd to last. Started off pretty rough. Crowd just didn't enjoy me. I broke off set and chatted with them a bit. Went dirtier towards the end, and ended up doing somewhat ok.
Monday was the Store open mic. I tried voicing out a few new jokes. One joke that bombed the night before, got a really good reaction on Monday. It's so weird. The other jokes I just tried to voice on stage, just didn't do so hot. It was a roller coaster but I can't complain.
Tuesday was the Store. It was a show headlined by the dude that threatened to beat me up a few months back. I didn't look him in the eyes the few times he tried to talk to me. He asked me how things were, and I responded, "living." He then tried telling me he wasn't in the mood to perform cause his grandma and friend just died, to which I ignored him. I can't stand people like that. He got a good response with his same awful, stereotypical jokes. One of the Shore sons was there and talked to him after the show about getting him to do a weekend. So pathetic considering he tried complaining that they got in free asking, "Is he the owner or something?" Idiot.
